Do I need to know how to draw?
Linefelt is being built for adult beginners. The outline gives you a place to start; you choose how closely to follow it. Bring paper, a pencil and a little curiosity.
What happens to my photos?
The app creates outlines on your device. Photo outlining does not upload your photo or require an account. Exporting or sharing a drawing is your choice.
Saved projects are local, so export anything you want to keep. Uninstalling the app or losing your device can remove projects. Device backups depend on your settings.
This website only shows our practice art. It does not ask you to upload a photo.
Does it draw the picture for me?
No. It finds edges in an image to make a drawing guide. It doesn’t generate a finished drawing. Clear subjects work best; textures can add extra lines, and low-contrast edges can be missed.
Does the camera project onto paper?
No. The planned camera view shows the outline on your phone screen over a live view of your paper. You need to keep the phone steady and align the guide yourself. It doesn’t project light or track the paper if anything moves.
The camera experience is still being tested before release. You can explore the downloadable practice outlines here in the meantime.
Will I need a subscription?
The core drawing tools are planned to be free, with no account required. Any optional paid extras will be explained separately. No paid plans or subscriptions are available now.
When can I get Linefelt?
Linefelt is in development for iPhone and isn’t available on the App Store or in a public beta yet. We’ll share availability here when it’s ready. There’s no announced release date.
